CMC's over 65 professionally trained volunteer mediators and small staff work with local schools, courts, legal services, city government, families and youth to provide a framework for people in conflict to sit down together, discuss and resolve issues respectfully.
Bozeman's Community Mediation Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit Montana corporation that has been dedicated to a more peaceful and just society since 1995. The mediation process allows participants to communicate with each other and often times create their own "win-win" solutions to disputes rather than a judge-imposed decision where all parties are often dissatisfied with the result. The process of mediation also helps people build relationships and foster cooperation within the community at large.
